Lindsay, Dip. CIM, MSc, Marketing & Process Coordinator


Lindsay assists the team with projects, analysis and research, and is the lead for the company’s communications. She holds a Masters degree in sustainable tourism and is an experienced copywriter and editor. Outside of work, Lindsay likes to be outside: walking, kayaking, gardening and working to keep Kent’s public rights of way accessible.


Diana, BSc, MSc, CEnv, MCIEEM (IUCN Commissioner), Managing Director


Diana has an international reputation and a strong background in stakeholder dialogue and participatory research related to the environment. She has successfully led on the delivery of over 90 contracts, has trained over 1,500 people and provides advice to organisations, governments and UN conventions on good practice participation. An innovator with a solid track record of handling conflicted situations, Diana is also a skilled, engaging trainer. She is a Chartered Environmentalist, an IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Commissioner and has been Chair of the British Association of Nature Conservationists. Diana is also a keen photographer, and much of the nature photography on this website is her own!


Joel, BSc, Project Manager


Joel’s comprehensive knowledge of environmental challenges and stakeholder participation, his expert research and evaluation skills, and his ability to build rapport across cultures makes him an expert facilitator and project manager. He has prepared, supported and led the delivery of a range of training and workshops since joining Dialogue Matters in 2015. Prior to achieving his degree in Environmental Science, he took part in a coral reef research project in Fiji, and has studied practical conservation management skills. As a keen scuba diver he has a collection of recreational and commercial diving licenses.

Bryony, BSc, Trainer/Facilitator


Bryony is in the final stages of completing her Masters degree in Environmental Psychology; between studies she has supported the delivery of stakeholder workshops and training courses both nationally and internationally. Bryony is particularly skillful at helping events run smoothly through thorough preparation, handling logistics, and anticipating and meeting participants’ needs during workshops. With a BSc in Psychology, Bryony enjoys applying both her knowledge and skills to help secure better futures for people and the environment they care about.

Jem, Office Dog


Well-being and productivity officer

Jem takes her role very seriously, offering a supportive paw to busy colleagues and encouraging them to eat healthily (preferably something with lots of crumbs). She also believes productivity is significantly improved with exercise and so regularly takes the team out on lunchtime walks.

It helps to show the big picture – from which we may identify multiple leverage points that can be addressed to support constructive change. It also helps us see the connectivity between elements in the situation, so as to support joined-up actions.

• We work to increase the level of influence stakeholders and participants have by encouraging project leaders to maximise empowerment. Lucy Armitage BA, MSc

Lucy has worked with Dialogue Matters since 2006 and is now an Associate, leading on the delivery of training and participative workshops and often working on a number of complex and contentious stakeholder dialogues.


Lucy obtained her first degree from Oxford, and went on to postgraduate studies in Social Anthropology. She worked for many years as a senior project manager in the corporate events field and as a teacher, both of which have given her strong interpersonal, project administration, management and liaison skills.

Christiane Valluri-Nitsch

BSc, MSc

Chrissie has worked as a field geologist in the field of sustainable mountain development and has undertaken a PhD in land use visons for rural Scotland.



Lucy Anne Bishop BSc, MA

Lucy Ann is a freelance environmental sustainability tutor, facilitator and consultant, and she has a strong background in environmental sustainability.

Jim White Dip HE, BSc, MSc, PGCE

Jim has over 15 years’ experience of community engagement in environmental work. He has also worked in environmental management and conservation.



Greg Wannell BSc (Hons)

Greg works as an ecological consultant, having graduated with a First Class degree in Environmental Science in 2015. He has worked with Dialogue Matters on several projects and has helped deliver workshops and training events.

Laurence Tricker MA

Laurence is a freelance environmental consultant with over 20 years’ experience in public and charity sectors working at chief executive level and as programme manager in regeneration, culture, the natural environment, research and policy development.



Lucy Fiebelmann BA (Hons)

Lucy is our creative advisor. She has a background in illustration, graphic design and advertising and has worked with Dialogue Matters on its website and marketing materials.
