Learn to Communicate About Nature and Climate to ACTUALLY INSPIRE CHANGE

½ day, online event

Date: October 19th, 9:20am – 1:00pm | Event tickets here

So much of the communication we give and receive about the nature and climate crisis is along these lines: issues-based, stats and science heavy, and full of doom and gloom. Science trained environmentalists, desperate to be heard and catalyse action, have tried to scare people with the facts thinking it would work. But it doesn’t! Instead of action, we cause the opposite: feelings of helplessness and apathy.

So, when you are communicating with others (whether professionals, your friends, family, or your community) how can you communicate in a way that encourages action?

The answer is the inspiration for this event. Bringing together communication experts from environmental psychology, neuroscience, and behaviour change, we offer you four different perspectives on ‘communication that inspires action’. Following the presentations, interactive workshops will equip you with the practical knowledge and skills to better motivate climate and nature action.

What will you learn?

  • How to communicate about the nature and climate crisis effectively
  • New tools and skills to engage people and inspire positive action
  • The benefits of new ways of communicating
